Pan Seared Cabbage

I prefer cooked cabbage to raw…and I love to char veggies! This is simple, satisfying, and a showstopper. This might make you love cabbage.

What you need:

  • Half a head a big cabbage (or as many wedges as you have people)
  • Oil, I prefer sunflower because it has a high smoke point
  • Cast Iron pan

Heat you pan over medium high heat. Slice the cabbage into wedges about 1 1/2 thick. Add enough oil to coat your pan. Place the wedges in pan.

Sear for about 3-5 minutes, until charred. Then flip and repeat on the other side. Serve hot or warm.

I really like these cold in my lunch box the next day.
