Roasted Sprouting Broccoli

I’m in love with this brassica! Roasting brings out it’s nutty flavor and is so easy!

What you need:

  • handful of sprouting broccoli
  • light glug of oil (I prefer sunflower oil)
  • slat & pepper

Preheat oven to 425 F

Cut off the bottom 2 inches of the sprouts. Then, cut in half lengthwise. On a baking sheet, toss with a light glug of oil and season. roast for 10-15 minutes until tender and the tops become slightly crispy.


  • in a grain bowl
  • with a cheese sauce
  • on pasta
  • as a green side dish
  • in broccoli cheddar soup

You can use sprouting broccoli pretty much wherever you’s use broccoli.
